I've been asked what should be the official mascot of Sandwell Valley nominations so far being :-

Little Ringed Plover

Grey Heron
Willow tit
Common Snipe

Little Ringed Plover for me too, My Daughter Rebecca & wife Linda says RN Parakeet If I could pick a bird not on list that I see every time I visit, and love to see, and see more at Sandwell Valley than most places I go, I'd vote for the Bullfinch.

Just received this Text of Matt Hadlington :-
Just had an hour or so at Hill Top, no sign of the Firecrest but the tit flick seems very wide ranging and elusive. A few other birders still up there so fingers crossed they’ll have more luck. Male Pochard on Swan Pool the only thing of note.
