Black Iridescent Bird, Coastal Maine USA (1 Viewer)

Hi I need help on this one. Taken today in coastal Maine USA. These are two different birds but a pair were sticking together. Eyes are black which appears to rule out a lot of Grackles. But Iridescent. Hmmm...

Starlings molt in autumn. Their new feathers have white tips. These gradually wear away so in spring they usually have tiny spots and by midsummer all the white has vanished.
 
As a European, I can confirm they are most certainly European Starlings. Or just 'Starlings' as they are known over here.
