hy there,
on April 23rd 2018 I briefly saw a 2nd cy Gull in Hula valley (northern Israel) and was able to take 2 pictures.

Now I am not sure about its ID. I ruled out cachinnans because of head and bill shape, the pattern on tail and upperwings, so we are left with Yellow-legged and Armenian Gull.

I do not have other pictures, unfortunately none of the underwing.

Can I have some advice (Tom, Gulls are birds too ;-) )

merci, best wishes

it's an armenian gull which is the default large gull sp. wintering in hla valley. briefly, the combination of a blunt tipped black bill with a rather cachinnans like (smooth, almost clean grey) pattern of 2nd gen. scapulars and mostly whitish underparts.
