Seen the Common Grackle flitting around the yard for the past few days, finally got a shot today.
White-grey tail banding spectacular looking when it's in flight.

Looks like stress bars (hunger streaks) to me. Any abnormality on the wings too?

Had that thought. Wings show nothing. Had been heavy rain when that was taken, appeared disheveled.
Seen once more since. Barring is perhaps 10mm in width, seems extreme for stress bars.
