Hi there,

Seen a butterfly today that I didn't recognise.

It was hanging grimly onto an azalea, in the wind, with wings closed.

I got the impression, from my very limited knowledge, that it was or was similar to a blue.

The underside of the wings had a green and white maplike colouration, the body appeared furry (like a blue) and the antennae, which were being held straight and together, had distinct white clublike tips.

If it makes a difference, the sighting was made close to my hometown of Doncaster, S.Yorks, UK.

Can't provide any photographic evidence, I'm afraid!

Any ideas?

Thanks for the pointer, winkle, but I've Googled Holly Blue, and it's not that.

Anyone else help?
