Sinensis ssp. cormorant? Co. Durham UK 2/3/20 (1 Viewer)

LowellMills

Is this your Sanderling?
Hoping this is my first P. carbo sinensis in Britain.

I've not seen one so white-headed but I'm not familiar with gular angle to look for. Cheers!

Difficult to tell from these pics. sinensis has a less sharp angle than carbo carbo

Even though the pics aren’t great you can still see it’s a hefty gular angle and therefore most likely a sinensis

Thanks all and sorry for poor record shots. It was a fair distance away in working docks and, worse, it still knew it was being watched.
