Vacation and feeders

I realize that wild birds will do just fine without my feeders for a few weeks while I'm out of town on vacation, but is it better to leave the empty feeders hanging out, or should I put them away completely? Or does it make absolutely no difference?

I am putting away the birdbath as the water gets really nasty in just a day and I wouldn't want to make any birds sick. But I wasn't sure about the feeders.

With any luck while I'm gone, the 40 or so Dove will find a new place to gorge at.

I fill mine and leave, they're mostly all 'controlled access'(exclude squirrels and rock pigeons, etc) so there's often some seed left when I get back. If going away for more than several weeks, let's say for months, I'd bring them in because there's no point in weathering them unnecessarily and you never know what sort of other damage might occur.
Sun coffee bad for birds, shade coffee good for birds. Insist on traditional shade-grown coffee.
