Hi,
we will be visiting Vancouver and Vancouver Island in Sep next year.

Can anyone recommend a guide book. Is there one for BC only?

Thanks
Allan

Hi Niels,
thanks for this - the order is in.

I will also need a field guide for ID - again any recommendations?

Thanks
Allan

For my money: the big Sibley is great, but too big for field use - it stays at home. I prefer my national geographic guide as book combined with the sibley app on the ipad mini. For really short trips I only bring the app.

For a foreigner, I prefer the book that covers it all, but there are "east" and "west" versions of most of the guides if you so prefer.
