Dear Members and bird watchers

I´m presently in Djibouti and another new country with new birds. I have managed to identify all the birds I have seen today, except two sunbirds, grey coloured

But I have one bird I have put down as a Yellow-spotted petronia but I´m really not sure. See attached pictures. Any ideas?

9 o´clock in the morning at Day Forest National Park

Kind regards
Aladdin

It's a juvenile Ploceus weaver. As the common species is Rüppell's Weaver, and the heavy horn-coloured bill matches the regular juvenile, I guess it is one indeed.

Thank you

The pictures are from the same bird. I spotted a grown up Rüppell's weaver in the tree next tree.

So they are in the area and it might be a juvenile Rüppell's weaver.

Kind regards
Aladdin
