Goosander
The first record was a male on Swan Pool on the 20th January 1979. Between 1979 and 1992 there was only a handful of records. Then during the winter of 1993 we had up to eight birds, then every winter their numbers began to increase slowly, by the winter of 1998 we had a flock of 66 birds. The max count to date being 106 birds.
