Snowy Owl in Ottawa (1 Viewer)

Summer 2018 in eastern Ontario has been one of the hottest I can remember. The humidex is consistently in the mid to high 30*Celsius. Actually, next week a couple of days with forecasted humidex of 41*c and 42*C. It's been like that for about 2 months now.

So, the last bird you'd expect to see in Ottawa is a Snowy Owl. It's one of about 24 counted recently from eastern Ontario to southwestern Ontario this summer.

Apparently, they're quite adaptable to a wide range of temperatures. Photographed today.
