Should have said Gray Catbird, but it's on our side of the pond now....

Nice photos, these guys don’t pose well so you have to be fast. BTW, if I say Grey Heron I still use your spelling.

I was lying on the ground when this grey coloured bird dived in and sat on the centre of a branch - it was by a dustbin near the footpath at my neighbour's house ;-)

I know, it really was a mistake but I did stick with it - don't mind my mischief-making, please...

While I'm on, a couple more from Saturday morning. Captions unnecessary except perhaps to emphasise that in the second shot, the long lens foreshortens the scene hugely: the people are nowhere near the bird and neither am I!
