Hi all, we are off to Devon in four weeks, staying near Salcombe, and looking forward to a bit of walking and birding. I noticed on the Devon bird report web-site that there is a sea-bird colony at Berry Head. Can anyone give me directions please and where to go to get the best views.

Thanks

Dave

This was posted on the Devon web site earlier this week "1,381 Guillemots, 7 Fulmar and 2 Shag. Very good healthy numbers of Guillemots and only 1 in non breeding plumage.
Just follow the signs in Brixham for Berry Head and park in the pay and display car park at the end of the road. Walk from car park and look over the cliff on the right hand side of the track to the Head. Roger

thanks tony, yes we love to see the Cirl Buntings when we walk from Start Point to Prawle Point. we are looking forward to exploring a little further afield this year, generally we stay around the area between Slapton and Bantham with most of our days spent between Salcombe and Thurlestone.
