Given to Fly
With increasing efforts to combine more nature with the built urban environment, sometimes unintended consequences result.
Personally, I think any sun facing facades and roofs not covered in solar panels are a wasted opportunity. Worse than that it is a travesty.
I'm all for the one shaded (or sun opposite) facade being fully vegetated, with captured water storage being used for evaporative and convective cooling in appropriate climates. Careful consideration would need to be given to any edible garden components so as to not attract/ promote vermin. I suppose there is quite the opportunity for suitable birds/ wildlife to also play a role ......
In fact, these two types of sun facing <-> shading facade elements should just be compulsory matters of law.
