Carolina Wren? NY-Saratoga area (1 Viewer)

Hi again! Last night, we were hearing some strange sounds we don't usually hear in our yard. We looked everywhere for them but were only able to spot ONE bird we've not seen before. At first glance, I thought it was another house wren, which I have definitely seen in our yard a few times. However, this little guy had a streak near his eye! I searched the wrens in my area and I saw something similar... a Carolina Wren. On the maps for the Cornell Lab site, it shows that these are indeed in NY state, but typically further south. Even still, it's not too much of a stretch to think he could have flown up a bit further north, and I can't imagine what else it would be. It's not the best photo for we only had a few seconds to snap.

So.... amirite?
