Focussing (1 Viewer)

Hi All

Im using the Coolpix 4500 through a Swarovski 80HD in autofocus mode, is there any need at all to perform slight manual scope focus adjustment after the camera focusses to get the best result?

Same here. I focus the scope manually and then fit the camera in place. Placing one of the focus brackets over the bird and then half depressing the shutter button is usually all that's needed to get the bird in focus. If branches are in the way then manual scope focus may be needed.

After focusing the scope, half depress the shutter and watch the little Green Focus light marked AF next to the optical viewfinder on the left. You will see it go steady when the lens is focused. Then fully depress the shutter. You shouldn't need to adjust the scope again.Neil.
