Headed up to Cassons above Flims with trusty spaniel, had a great day. Deer, hare, marmots - and birds! Missed quite a few but today was really a fact-findng play day. Zillions of pipits and snow finches.

The quiz:

[1] Juvenile Wheatear?

[2] I was perched way up on a cliff in the hope of seeing an eagel when this darted by. I assume it's the Common Kestrel - sure looks like one. I was very badly prepared and was looking in the other direction when I saw it out of the corner of my eye. This happened twice in the space of 20 minutes. :storm:

Nice day you had today, Simon, by all means. :t:

Wheatear and Kestrel, both common, both adult and both female.
