which Saturniidae ? New York State, USA (1 Viewer)

At first I thought it was a Polyphemus but now I am thinking Ceanothus Silk Moth which dosnt seem to make sense because my guide says that its range is "British Columbia south to Baja California, Mexico; coast to Sierra Nevada " .
