ZEISS DTI thermal imaging cameras. For more discoveries at night, and during the day.

Size matters! (1 Viewer)

That's an excellent set, Dave, and far better than those I've seen on the printed page where the limited resolution tends to mask the benefits of a longer focal length.

Thanks both, as I originally said it was a bit of fun, gives an instant visual idea of reach but a lot depends on the camera body, lens IQ and the ability of the operator to use the equipment to best advantage too.
One or two of my shots were blurred but in the 13 minutes and 10 seconds the bird was sat there I shot 71 pictures using 12 different camera/lens /tc combinations so it was all a bit hurried especially as I also had to dash to another room to collect more bits of kit in between changing lenses!
Fortunately the Pigeon had stuffed itself with berries from a nearby Ivy bush and didn't feel like flying until it had digested a few!
