Filters to fight chromatic aberration (1 Viewer)

Hi there,
Has anybody digiscoping with a refractor tried a filter to eliminate chromatic aberration?

There are some in the market that are supposed to be good (Baader Contrast Booster, Orion V-Filter)

Thanks

Both seem to be popular in astronomical circles for removing the glare of bright objects against a black background. They might help with that, but with the edge defractions of chromatic aberation, I'm not so sure. I don't think that they are meant as a cure-all for poor optics.

Graham.

Hi Graham,

I agree. I wasn't expecting APO performance in the first place though, but with the surprisingly good performance of the latest 80mm short tubes, it may be worth a try.
