Finding a Nikon 27X wide angle eyepiece (1 Viewer)

Long time reader here, first time poster. Was directed to yall from the folks over at optics talk. They say you guys and gals know your optics!

I'm ready to purchase a Nikon 50 ED spotter, and have heard the praises for the 27X wide angle eyepiece, model #6950, not the digi model.

Anyone out there who can help me find one? Seems like they've been gone for a while, and I missed the boat :(

Doug (cameraland) has the MC27x wide.

The bargains are certainly long gone.

The 27x DS is equally good, sans adjustable eyecup, and is easier to attach digiscoping goodies to it. I haven't seen one of them in a while.

FWIW, I have all the eyepieces for Nikon Fieldscopes and I usually keep the MC20x wide on the ED50, as I prefer it over the 27x. The DS16x is very good on that scope as well.

Thanks Kevin. What is the difference between this eyepiece, and the digiscoping eyepiece that is all sold out, and that many dealers ran at $99?
