Immature gull, UK (1 Viewer)

Posted this on another forum and got no reply so thought I would try here... This gull stood out from surrounding Herring Gulls as it appeared very long necked and with quite a different posture. Unfortunately didnt manage to get a view of it side on. Any thoughts would be welcome

it could be a caspian gull. head shape and colour, giraffe neck and long tibia are supporting this. but it would be necessary to see more if it to be sure.
 
It looks more like a Herring to me although its hard to be sure. Fairly large head, small bill with relatively large gonys in comparison to bill and blotchy underparts.
