Well this was a bit of a surprise during a quick stop at the Ferry Pool late this afternoon!!!
It was patrolling the edge of the first reedy pool on the lagoon side of the road, to the right of the rife and pumps, looking fairly settled and territorial.
Apparently about the 3rd record for Sussex and defo a first for my patch :)

Well done to the finder and thanks for posting it. It gave close views till at least 3.00pm, although RBA reported no sign between 4.00 and 6.00pm.

Belter Adam! I had a look this afternoon but no joy, just ordinary Migrant Hawkers. Ruddy Darter was a year tick and I got some nice flight shots of the hawkers so it wasn't a wasted afternoon.
