The entire study is yours for 'cough' 20000USD ! :eek!:
Interesting that the study doesn't really delve into the 'knowledge' of camera and lens design technology or parameters, or specify 'performance' as a key requirement and study point.
I'd imagine that the whole move to an ILC from a smartphone is quite bewildering and overwhelming.
I'd say there's a lot of "you just don't know what you don't know" out there.
Particularly with all the different sensor sizes out there.
My assessment would be that potential customers for sure would be looking to a complete enough system to get up and running, and an ecosystem allowing expansion, and the connectivity and processing to be functional for the individual's requirements.
It seems everyone in the younger generations is a quasi-professional model and photographer ...... yay ! you're all winners ! :-O
I imagine that anyone rocking up to one of the new FF Mirrorless systems will be in for some sticker shock ! It could jeopardize the daily smashed avo and lattes, next sleeve of tatts, 8K watch, and hols in Ibiza, Cancun, Magaluf, or Thailand etc !! 3

As we look ahead, we believe that the market will become known as the DILC market, with the use of “digital” being optional. Interchangeable lens cameras, regardless of whether they have a mirror or not, will have to compete mainly on features, benefits, and price.
