Brown Argus in my New Costessey garden today. (Also Painted lady.) Former a major surprise - of the level of Silver-washed Frit & Wall which have also graced in the garden since 2014. Odd!

Brown Argus seem thin on the ground so far this year, so you've done very well to get a garden record.
Common Blue now reported, while there seems to have been quite an influx of Painted Ladies, Red Admiral and Silver Y in the last couple of days.

17 sightings of Swallowtails at Hickling Nature Reserve

Had a wonderful morning at Hickling Broad yesterday.
The Swallowtails were showing well, feeding on brambles and thistles within a few feet for minutes at a time.
Small Tortoiseshells, Red Admirals, Meadow Browns and Ringlets everywhere.
Speckled wood and Comma and a Skipper all active.
Pristine White Admiral feeding on brambles possibly the highlight of the day.
All to the backdrop of warbler song, hunting Marsh Harriers, dragonflies and damselflies and the scent of honeysuckle on the breeze.

Alderford Common

White Admiral at Alderford Common today on the woodland side, apparently up to 4 have been seen there. Lots of Small Heaths at Norwich Airport yesterday too.

Skippers

I attach three photos of Skippers photographed in South Norfolk recently. I find ID'ing Skippers difficult. I believe these are all Small Skippers (orange underside to antennae tips), but would like someone to confirm.
