The latest Bird Study, the scientific journal of the BTO, contains papers on a diverse range of topics. From declines in British-breeding populations of Afro-Palaearctic migrants birds being linked to bioclimatic wintering zones in Africa (read the full paper here), and the size of the Scottish population of Capercaillie, to the fidelity to breeding areas in northern England of Black Grouse.
