3 pin 125W MV lamp bulb holder (1 Viewer)

I have been given a home made Robinson trap to repair / use and have all the various parts except that the current ceramic bulb holder is missing the metal "prongs".

Can anyone advise where I may obtain a replacement bulb holder? I have tried a couple of the specialist moth trap sites and they no longer stock them as they were discontinued several years ago....

I have the bulbs and the control box... just the holder is now needed.

TIA for any help.

Screw thread

Hi Andy,

Thanks for reply and I suspect that you may be correct. However being a tight fisted old codger and having three spare bulbs for bayonet... I am loathe to effectively through them away!
It is only the metal connectors in the existing holder that have corroded - so hoping I can salvage the unit!

Thanks again
Dave

Try looking at marine aquatics suppliers Dave. Metal halide used to be the big thing in aquarium lighting until Leds came along!

Andy,

Many thanks for this suggestion - I did not realise there were adaptors to go this way - will check it out.

HoneyM,

Have been in contact with Paul and he has been able to offer me a 3 pin lamp holder so I can use existing lamps.

Many thanks for this - much appreciated.
