ED Roofs for under £300? (1 Viewer)

I see that Hawke Optics are offering two ED bins (8x43 & 10x43) for a little under £300. They're the fashionable 'open bridge' design. I wonder how good they are ....

If they can produce soemthing with genuinely top quality glass for under £300, it also makes me wonder just how much we have to pay just for a top brand name! I can't help wondering too whether they'd sell more if they'd stuck another £100 on the price since at this price point people will wonder about build quality and be put off,

I have vortex vipers 8x42 at £259 these have xd glass which is there extra low dispersion glass,
Had them for about 6 months and there great.
