Lewis's Woodpecker at Ankeny (1 Viewer)

Just spend the morning over there yesterday. Great day. We got a glimpse of a Lewis's Woodpecker--my very first. Plenty of Acorn Woodpeckers. A Rough-legged Hawk. Red-tails. Immature Baldies. Countless sparrows. Lots of Bluebirds and Killdeer. Herons, Egrets, Pintails, Coots, one Redhead, Swans, Kestrels, Shovelers, Green-winged Teals, and, of course, Mallards. And my favorite as far as photographing goes because it just sat so pretty for us, a Red-Shouldered Hawk.
