Don't Worry, Be Happy!

Rick

By "telescope" you mean just their high-end astro scopes and not their spotters? At least that's how I understand it.

The cite is

http://www.pentax.jp/japan/news/announce/20081205.html

which you can read via a translation at

http://translate.google.com/transla...unce/20081205.html&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&sl=ja&tl=en

the title line is "Notice of Termination productive astronomical telescope" and a list of non-spotter scope items.

Though one wonders what might happen in the future. There seem to be quite a few Pentax binocular bargains around right now ... which seems odd. Olympus and Minolta have already got out of the bin business.

I think the spotters will sell for a while. And we can still get non Pentax eye pieces. If you get a good deal on the 65mm and 80mm scopes, I would not worry.
