Hallo Dieter!

Alpine Swifts are normally fairly common around Innsbruck, but this year I have seen surprisingly few.
The best place to look for them is probably the Zirler Steinbruch, on the eastern edge of Zirl (<10km west of Innsbruck).
While there, keep a look out for Crag Martins and the local Eagle Owls.
If you take a walk on the hillside (above the vineyard/Weingut), you are likely to find Rock Bunting and fairly large numbers of Bonellis Warbler.

Taking the walk over the top of the Steinbruch towards Martinsgrotte will give you ample opportunities for Alpine Swift and Rock Bunting, and the added bonus of an awesome view. :t:

Happy birding,
Dale
