Arrived at Flashes around 16:10.
Very few birds in view, possibly because of the fencing work going on, but the curlew sandpipers and the ruffs were performing well.
A peregine flew through at around 16:40 and the curlew sands took off and we didn't see them again. The ruffs returned very soon and worked their way back along the rushes from the third flash.

Still at the Flashes
The cattle appeared and plodded through the mud in front of the hide and out onto the spit, flushing sands and a grey wagtail. Pity the sun hadn't been shining earlier when the curlew sands and the ruffs were in good view!

The Moors (W hide)
Everything was very quiet around 18:30. The few gulls there, and quantities of duck lifted when a heron made a short flight and the gulls didn't return. The star turn was this blackbird eating elderberries near the feeders.
