Hello from northeast Texas (1 Viewer)

Hi from northeast Texas. I ran onto this site in search of bird photographs. I'm raising a baby bird which I thought was a mockingbird when I first rescued it, but now that it's older, I can clearly see it does not look like the other mockers around. :eek!: I'm hoping to locate a photograph of it to see what it is. Maybe I'll try and post one here somewhere to see if anyone can identify it for me.

I love backyard birdwatching. This is my second summer to rehab baby birds who've either been injured or fallen from the nest. I would have loved to return this baby to it's nest, but I couldn't find it! Feeding a baby bird every half hour during daylight hours is VERY time consuming. He's past the stage of needing to eat SO very often now, and I'm exposing him to my front yard several hours a day now. I sure wish his "birth" mother would come along and teach him to eat and fly better! o:)

Hi Rennagayle,

A warm welcome to BirdForum from all the Admin and Moderators. I hope you enjoy your time with us.

Glad the rehabbing is going well. I am sure if you post a photo of your bird someone here will be able to id it. Best place to put a photo would be the Bird Identification Forum.

Hello Rennagayle and on behalf of the staff here at BirdForum.net, a warm welcome to you.

Certainly sounds as though you have your work cut out for yourself
