My new Orion Stratus 8mm (1 Viewer)

Thanks again Sout Fork. Enlightening and impressive too, considering the time of the day! I remember some of this stuff from photography. I always thought that lower f meant more light, therefore faster shutter times. Never realised it had anything to do with angles. It really is the noble art of trade-offs, isnt it?

As is life.

Whither selecting a lens or a women the process is the same - making imperfect choices between imperfect options.

Only god and little children expect perfection and certainty.

Somebody mentioned a line of Orion eyepieces containing ED glass: they call them "Epic"
Anybody used them yet?

I Have 4 epics . Not bad for the price . I got mine on astromart, 4 for $150 .
I Use them when the conditions are rough & i,m afraid of losing the more expensive stuff. Not as good as the stratus though less fov.
Brian.
