Parted with £599 for an a550 body this afternoon, hoping to have chance to play with it tomorrow, especially with some of the new modes.

Mode that looks interesting is the "stacking" option "D Range HDR" which takes two images one under and one over-exposed and then combines them.

Note the manual focus liveview in addition to the usual fast liveview - at last, nice macro feature!
