ZEISS DTI thermal imaging cameras. For more discoveries at night, and during the day.

Panasonic NV DS27 (1 Viewer)

I've used the DS-38 which is the same as yours but with DV in and with digital stills

The lens action is very odd with vignetting going, coming back at zoom mid-range - it goes again at extreme telephoto. It helps at mid-zoom range if you manually adjust the aperture to be wide open.

at max telephoto the zoom is a bit too much to be useful on a scope even with zoom set at minimum. With care (and using the remote control) you can get serviceable results, but you might be better off with an EagleEye OpticZoom or the like.

this video of some long-tailed tit fledglings on a tree was shot using the camera and an OpticZoom. I have never found a platform stable enough to hold the camcorder at full zoom on my scope.
