Water Pipit, Jersey

Interested in comments on this pipit, which was photographed yesterday in Jersey. I think it's pretty clearly a Water Pipit, and indeed this was at a regular location for this species. However, I cannot recall ever seeing such a heavily-marked or warm brown individual as this - in the field, it is quite a bit warmer than in these photos, with a clear buff suffusion to the flanks and upper breast.

I would happily call that as a Water Pipit. Good set of images.

Looks fine for Water Pipit to me. Rock Pipit is normally darker, even more heavily streaked and without the white supercillium and wing bars.

In the picture 5980, the look is rather Rock.
Very vague eyebrow, dominant eye ring, blurred chest spots,...

Reminds me of this Water Pipit which I also thought was a more heavily marked individual.

Yes a good Water Pipit on first inspection.

(For context - i walked along my seafront today and watched c. 7 - 10 Rock Pipits.)
