Parulidae revision (1 Viewer)

it's unfortunate that Setophaga has priority over the Dendroica; I rather like the sound of Dendroica over Setophaga.

Lovette et al. 2010 mention that it is not a member of parulidae at all, along with some of the West Indian taxa

Back at the Laramie AOU meeting, the nine-primaried oscine phylogeny symposium stated it was sister to Icteridae (and recommended merging it with that family). Not sure where it goes now.

Icteria is sister to the Icteridae? Wouldn't it be really confusing if it merited a subfamily (Icteriinae which would then imply an Icterinae)?
;)
