cebu flowerpecker (1 Viewer)

Good questions. Oking our guide for a morning only on Cebu admitted that he hadn't seen it for a year. He did say he had heard one. He also said that he doesn't dedicate the time needed to be lucky enough to see it. His daughter apparently has seen it during the last 2 years.

On the other hand, a guide we bumped into on Luzon (cant remember his name) said rumours are rife that it hasn't been seen for years and any sightings seem to be always of the female which will throw suspicion on correct ID anyway.

Chances of seeing one, doubtful or unbelievably lucky. I would reckon days, weeks if not months would be needed to stake one out.

extinct? Who knows.

Cebu has a few good species worth going for anyway, but the Cebu Flowerpecker would be a long shot
