With the recent wildfires in the Scottish Highlands, there are fears that many golden eagle eggs and other rare bird nests may have been destroyed. The RSPB has expressed concerns about the impact on golden eagle nests in particular. It is also worried about the migrant birds which are due to nest in the area in the next few weeks.
