Found this bird in some swamp land yesterday and I cannot, for the life of me, figure out what it is with that yellow patch on its back neck and I see some yellow by the tail. Thanks guys.

With the yellow eyes I can only think of a Grackle presuming the other yellow is pollen as you suggested.
 
Agree with Common Grackle. The "patch" on the back of the neck may be a reflection off iredescence from its neck.
