Went to the eastern panhandle of West Virginia today to chase a couple of rarities that had been found there. I rather easily found my targets (the grebe and goose) plus one other bird, bringing my year total up to 102.

I'm in the UK for a long weekend in Exeter and today I managed to get hold a a vehicle and shoot over to Weymouth for the Ross's Gull that has been hanging out there for the past few days. Got the bird and netted a few good extras that aren't so easy when I spend most of my year in Sweden.

This is an exceptionally early record, but the past week has been in the mid- to high-60s Fahrenheit, with one day last week reaching 80 degrees.

I've been in Lund, southern Sweden for a few days and managed to pick up a couple of extra birds at the sewage works while looking for the Ferruginous Duck that has been reported from there on and off.
