Hi guys,

Back in 2014, i flushed this bird and managed a single shot before in went into the dense grasses close the coast by Morjim Beach. I assumed it was Common Quail, but eBird reviewer has deemed the photo invalid. So i assume i have the wrong ID, although COQU would be a killer bird to have a photo of. what do you think?

i assumed quail due to it landing very quickly after flushing. whenever i've flushed snipes, they stay in-air for at least a few seconds before going down. This bird was different and did not fly further than 5-7 meters before landing.

I think this looks more like a buttonquail than a quail, but I would agree that based on this view it's probably left unidentified.
