A couple of clues might be helpful.
Whereabouts in France, when (spring, summer etc), and what was the habitat like for instance?

it's an odd call of either a jay or a carrion crow, both can vocalize this odd call.
Hi delia, I was in the centre of France, area 36, the Indre. It was recorded on 20 Aug 2019, on a warm sunny day at midday. The house is in the countryside,surrounded by lots of grassland, hedges and trees. I do think it was in the trees close to the house but I couldn't see it. I also heard it every day I was there for 2 weeks Approx same times. Thanks

i'm pretty sure it's carrion crow, not jay.

Hi Lou, Iv'e never heard a crow sound like that, I would love to hear another to confirm it. Is it usual for some birds to have an odd/different call to the norm.

It's a common call in the Carrion crow in France.
