Well, after a fairly eventful 2013 of birding where I spent the beginning of the year in WA before heading back to my home state of IN for a few months until I got a job at APC NWR in TX, I figured I'd make one of these lists to better document my sightings; here's to hoping I can get out to some good birding spots located elsewhere in TX!

Ugh, still have yet to break that dreaded 100 mark. I headed down about a mile from the Refuge to see if I could find the apparently overwintering flock of Lapland Longspurs, but no such luck, nor any good views of new waterfowl sadly. The list still grows, but slower than I'd like; hopefully once I get some car repairs done within the next week, I can head out to Brazos Bend SP, the Galveston/Bolivar area, or Anahauc NWR.
