ADVICE on ACCOMDATION in FLORIDA. (JAN 08) (1 Viewer)

My wife and I are spending 4 weeks on a birding trip to Florida Jan 4th till Feb 7th. We can't agree on whether to book accommodation before we visit or just hope we can find somewhere on the day. I'm sure that someone who has been or lives in Florida can give us a bit of advice.

The area's we are visiting are Ocala, Tallahhassee, down the gulf coast then onto the Everglades and finishing up at Titusville for the bird festival.

Any help will be gratefully appreciated, Also can anyone recommend a bird ID book of the birds we may see as I am a limey and have no idea on your birds.

Thanks and HAPPY BIRDING
Jim Morris.

I can't help with lodging, never having been to that part of the country, but the standard North American field guide is David Sibley's. (here or here for purchase in the UK)
