seawatching in Northern France and Belgium (1 Viewer)

Hello,

yesterday : few birds but two rare species at The Clipon in Dunkerque (www.leclipon.com) :

1 red-necked phalarope and 1 white-winged tern (and 100 black tern)

at the Cape Gris-Nez (seawatchcgn.free.fr) the only good birds were two balearic shearwater


Today :

at the Clipon (most birds passed between 19:00 and 21:00!)

1 red-necked grebe
12 sooty, 79 manx, 14 balearic and a probable cory's shearwater
1 red-necked phalarope again! (also seen at the Cape Gris-Nez)
2 pomarine, 117 arctic, 1 long-tailed and 96 great skua
2 Sabine's gull

in Belgium :

2 balearic shearwater (a rarity here)
2 leach's storm-petrel
2 pomarine, 6 arctic and 2 great skua

Tomorrow the wind is perfect and I can't go seawatching...:-C

1 very early black-throated diver
43 fulmar
2 sooty, 6 manx, 8 balearic shearwater
1 leach storm-petrel
320 gannet
somes ducks : 4 shelduck, 15 wigeon, 26 teal, 44 pintail, 2 shoveler, 5 eider and 250 common scoter
somes waders : 3 golden and 52 grey plover, 27 knot, 27 dunlin, 1 curlew sand, 340 bar-tailed godwit.
1 grey phalarope
4 pomarines, 283 arctic, 6 long-tailed and 244 great skua !!
70 kittiwake, 12 little and 1 sabine's gull
few tern : 377 sandwich, 1490 common, 45 arctic, 12 little and 20 black tern
8 razorbill / guillemot
Cape Gris-Nez (6:45 - 16:45) :

21 fulmar
5 sooty, 5 manx, 4 balearic shearwater
400 gannet
46 wigeon, 1 gadwall, 6 teal, 10 pintail, 3 eider, 394 common scoter
11 grey plover, 136 knot, 3 curlew sand, 88 dunlin
4 pomarine, 445!! arctic, 4 long-tailed and 398 great skua + 32 sp.
115 kittiwake
490 sandwich, 1860 common, 2 arctic, 19 little and 3 black tern

Good seabirds migration these 3 last day with

1 Great Shearwater
+1000 sooty, 200 manx and 170 balearic
25 leach's storm-petrel
1 dotterel
300 arctic,25 pomarines, 30 long-tailed and 360 great skua!
somes sabine's gull
3200 sandwich, 3600 common, 80 black and 1 Roseate tern
