Anyone using this scope? Or, has somebody tried this scope?

The specifications on their web page is very good. But of course, no manufacturer would say otherwise.

The scope is waterproof, has 29mm eye relief, changeable eyepiece, 80mm fully muticoated Japanese ED glass, apochromatic performance, bright to the edges, and $498 OTA. Drawback is 2.7 kg weight.

Seems like a goodbuy.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Eric

Hi Eric, haven't tried this particular Model, but I do use a Williams Optics ZenithStar 80mm ED APO scope and can vouch for the excellent quality of ther products. Ernie

Thank you very much for the info Ernie. This could really be a serious alternative for the high end scopes.

I just hope that a side-by-side test can be done for this scope as this will be a best buy for me and for those who are tight on the budget. This might even be better than the Celestron 100ED or the Bushnell Elite 80ED scopes.

Best regards,
Eric

I'd agree with Ernie, having owned 4 WO scopes and loads of Swan EPs myself :) Just wondering if the price is going to be the killer...
