First Swallow (1 Viewer)

Great to see 6 Sand Martin and a single Swallow at Holywell Pond today (14:00 hrs) Maybe a dozen or so Chiffchaff singing in the Dene, and nearby too.

There was a bewildered swallow over Sainsbury's car park at Alnwick this morning wondering why on earth it had bothered to leave Africa.

Had a very grey Chiffchaff in my garden this morning, it's unusual to get them in the garden at this time of year. It's usually August or September when I get them.

Ditto! I hear them calling locally but have only seen one in the garden in Spring once in 5 years until yesterday and today (yet I see one almost daily in September).
