Chester River Dee........

I decided to do a quick hour on the banks of the River Dee, that runs parallel to the back of my house, to see if there were any unusual gull's in the roost, but unfortunately, there was only the usual common species present,.... the roost aside, there were some great views of a Kingfisher, seen perching and fishing from a fallen branch, a steady overhead passage of Chaffinch, a couple of Bullfinch, a hunting Kestrel, a solitary Swallow, that was making it's way out of the estuary, and also a Great Spotted Woodpecker as a flyover........
